- Assignment: Set up a charting platform and explore basic features.
Week 2: Understanding Charts and Price Movements
- Types of charts: Line, Bar, Candlestick (focus on candlestick basics).
- Timeframes: Intraday, daily, weekly, monthly.
- Price action concepts: Support, resistance, trends (uptrend, downtrend, sideways).
- Volume analysis: Importance and interpretation.

Week 3: Candlestick Patterns

- Practical application: Spotting patterns in real-world charts.
- Assignment: Analyze 3 stocks and identify at least 2 candlestick patterns.
Week 4: Trend Analysis and Chart Patterns
- Trend identification: Higher highs, lower lows, trendlines.
- Reversal patterns: Head and Shoulders, Double Top/Bottom, Triple Top/Bottom.
- Continuation patterns: Triangles (Ascending, Descending, Symmetrical), Flags, Pennants.
- Breakouts and fakeouts: How to confirm a move.
- Assignment: Draw trendlines and identify one reversal and one continuation pattern on a chart.
Week 5: Technical Indicators – Momentum and Trend
- Moving Averages: Simple (SMA), Exponential (EMA), crossovers.
- Relative Strength Index (RSI): Overbought/oversold conditions.
- Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD): Signals and interpretation.
- Stochastic Oscillator: Usage and limitations.
- Assignment: Apply RSI and MACD to a stock and interpret the signals.
Week 6: Volume and Volatility Indicators
- Volume-based indicators: On-Balance Volume (OBV), Volume Weighted Average Price (VWAP).
